The international standard for building an energy management system is ISO 50001:2018. 
Energy management according to ISO 50001:2018 is a documented and systematic method to ensure energy-optimized solutions for the benefit of both the company and society.  
Management must lead an energy policy, followed by concrete objectives for energy work.

Course description: 
In this course, you'll get a detailed overview of the standard's requirement elements, complemented by various tools. We will discuss what energy audits mean for your business.

The ISO 50001:2018 standard contains a number of key requirement elements, from management's commitment to continuously improve the company's energy performance to management's annual evaluation of the efforts. There is a large overlap between ISO 50001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015. You will discuss the synergy between the management systems. The teaching alternates between theory, cases, independent work and group assignments.

The course is aimed at environmental managers, managers, auditors and people working with energy management in industry, service and construction who want a thorough introduction to energy management systems.
